Good Austin Prock interview on Comp Plus (16 Viewers)

I may have missed it if he did, but I think a lot of this negativity towards him through this whole thing could’ve been lightened had he put out a statement thanking JFR for the opportunities he was given. I think that’s one of the things that ruffles most peoples feathers, is the way it was all handled. It’s a business, just like any professional sport, I get following opportunity and money. But take NFL players for example. They move on to a new team, the majority of them put out a statement, thanking everyone from top down for the opportunity, showing appreciation for what the team had done for them and their families, thanking their fan base, etc. Like I have stated before, he is a champion funny car driver because John gave him the opportunity and a top notch ride. Show your appreciation, don’t alienate the fan base, and move on to your next opportunity with class, and I think this would all be a completely different situation with the fans than what it is now.

By the way things have played out I get the impression that he feels JFR needed them more than they needed JFR. He believed they were going to go to BT3 and pick up where they left off. I contribute this to him being somewhat immature in his thinking. He was given the number one seat on the number one team in FC and did well, now the pieces are not there anymore. Hopefully he learns some humility from this and he comes out a better person for the experience.

can't tell if this will happen soon, or longer than soon, but it will happen.
He believes the narrative will correct itself the same way it always does — through results. When that happens, the noise will disappear just as quickly as it arrived.

Good point. Grace is a quality sorely missing these days. Certainly not the first racer I've seen for whom grace is an apparently unknown quality.

Thinking of a very recent thread, at least the interview wasn't emotional. 😜

He needs to take it like a man,not a spolied little boy with his daddy. Either way, haters are livin rent free in his head...
I would say he is living in all the haters heads rent free. Only the ppl involved know why the Prock's left JFR. There working with all new parts and pieces , it's gonna take a little time before they get things figured out.
