Going to the Chilibowl.... (1 Viewer)

For Fri-Sat only! Anybody ever been?
Yep, sure have! A couple of times, Joe. In addition to drag racing, I'm a devoted open wheel USAC fan. You'll love it! Great racing, big names racing and every seat is great. Are you taking your camera? Hope so. Enjoy!

I wish!! Someday I will get to the bowl.
While you're there look up our local boy - Steve Buckwalter.

Can't wait to see your pictures.

Chili Bowl has been on my must do list forever, along with so many other events....so many events, so little time.....when did I get this old?

The only problem is that when it's cold outside, it tends to get pretty dusty and hard to breathe in the expo building. We always used respirators. Haven't been in a few years.

I've heard between the Alcohol fumes and the dust it can get pretty tough in there. Just hope I don't end up regretting it!

The 2010 Chili Bowl will soon be here. As in the past, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will hold its 12th Annual Benefit Auction in conjunction with the 24th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals.

The 2010 auction will be held on Thursday, January 14th, in the Tulsa Expo Center and the start time will be 12:00 Noon, prompt. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Chili Bowl auction will feature special one of a kind racing memorabilia and collectables including die cast cars, art work, photos and apparel. Many of these items have been autographed by some of the biggest names in racing, past and present.

Proceeds from the 12th Annual Chili Bowl Benefit Auction will benefit the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, allowing us to “promote the future while preserving the past history of sprint car racing”. Also, as in the past eleven years, we will donate 10% of our proceeds to the official charity of the Chili Bowl Nationals, the Parent Child Center of Tulsa.

The auction will again be held in the main grandstand area just behind turns three and four on Thursday, January 14th. The auction will start promptly at 12:00 Noon – come early to look over the auction items. Auction item payment methods will include cash, check, Master Card, Visa, Discover & American Express cards.

We hope to see you there. . . . . .

Just don't rub your eyes! I'm NOT kidding about that. I've been to indoor midget races in Wi, and the fumes and dust form a layer of crud on your face. When you rub around your eyes, you rub that junk into them and it stings like crazy. Then, you've got to go to the biff to wash everything out.
