He just cant get a break, I really feel for him and the media is going to have a field day with it.

He ran low ET and top speed of the round, but that wasn't good enough against the good runs from the night sessions.

Of course it's huge news, but to me the real shame is going to be when the mainstream (and racing) media devotes their front pages to people who didn't do well.

There are some really deserving racers who should be in the spotlight for once, but I fear we're not going to hear much about them.

Top two cars in Flopper not in chase
Mad Max... Not in Chase....

NHRA has a major problem with qualifying and it needs fixed. I am sick and tired of this one shot session to get in especially when in the others you are the quickest of the session but still cant get in. Personally I think the only way to fix it is to have 2 night sessions. Thats what the fans want, and it gives the teams 2 shots at going for it and 2 for race day setups. Sat's are pointless nows, Sunday in Indy's case. Just crasy, and I mean that for everyone, not just b/c it happened to Force today.

Right you are Dan!
This is one more bit of greatness the countdown will be accomplishing.

man...I was really hoping to see John win in that Medlen paint scheme:(

as for qualifying, i've always it should work in a progressive stage...fastest 4 cars from first round are in, then fastest four cars from second round not already in get guaranteed spots and so on. Then after the fourth session, you seed by et. That way each round would mean something (in my book anyway)

According to the photo on NHRA.com, John is running Eric's colors.
I know it's confusing, but here it goes...

John was running Erics Syntec colors from last year-

Robert is running Eric's colors from this year- white top-blue sides

Robert's normal colors are- blue top-white sides

Usually the same with Ash and Dad, only flopped-
green over white- white over green

I know it sounds confusing, but it's really not... :D

what a bummer that big john isnt in, but remeber he was 20th in points what seems like just a few races ago now hes still in 3rd. the boss will be back! i hope ashley or robert can win it this weekend!

They do get 2 night sessions in Indy (Friday and Saturday) So John not getting in has nothing to do with there only being one session.

16 other cars seemed to make it.

At Indy they do have 2 sessions, but at every other track they only have 1 and my main point is the last 2 sessions (whether there on Sat or Sun) are pointless b/c no one had a shot at getting in yesterday.
