I'm not saying you are wrong, but it makes sense to test for a future rule change. How does it make sense to test in non-NHRA approved trim??

Yes, but what muddies things is they were having issues with the clocks that day. Probably legit, given that prick matched it shortly after; but still raises questions given that clocks were goofy that day.

They just put out the update to the rule book, it's optional now.

if i'm running in the nitro classes and someone else runs a killer number - that particular run would not get into my head. If someone ran 10 killer numbers in a row, now that would get into my head, cause that proves it wasnt a fluke and implies they are on to something!

Same, Nunzio...I stand with Tasca on this one though. It's a "chop", in WWE parlance, for IRL to run commercials stating that during an NHRA broadcast. Time for the C-Suite folks over at Glendora (or wherever they post up now) to return the favor and market the difference that 100mph is, with TWO (or four) cars also possessing more overall horsepower than the entire IRL starting grid
