Just saw the weather forecast and it's mid 70's all weekend. Unfortunately I won't be going this year, but the racing should be great. The last couple times I went I brought the north Alabama heat and humidity.

It's still that way right now in Bama. My track got rained out tonight. I truly hope the Big Go is a good one. Has all the proper ingredients.

I came here straight from Brainerd and other then one day of rain it has been perfect racing weather all week. I didn't want to waste it so I went to the Smackdown sprint car race in Kokomo In on Fri night and then the Ironman motocross race on Sat, and then nitro maters very own Corey Daggett and a friend of his from the track in Dubai, and myself went back to Kokomo Sat night for the final night of the Smackdown sprint car race. Damn now I'm tired I had better get some rest if I'm going to make it all the way through the U.S Nationals. :)

Our commentator Colin Theobald from Santa Pod will be guesting in the Indy announcers' booth calling some of the races over the weekend, following his US debut at Gainesville. If you're lucky enough to be there, listen out for his English tones, and say hi if you see him around.

at 11:00 CST on monday, aug. 26th, 2019. two days before the start of the 'biggest, baddest, longest race of the year', nhra.com's first four stories
1) cruz still optimistic about making countdown
2) hemi challenge story
3) terry mcmillen looking to secure countdown
4) who will make the countdown
is there a theme here?
so looking forward to S and SS class elims on thursday.
and waiting for indy press on folks like capps, antron, torrence, todd, force, line, anderson, coughlin, etc., ......you know, the folks that win a lot.

What's the theme?
IMO indy has become a race for the last spot in the countdown. that is now indy drama.
no more special races for $100k. what's in it for the top dogs other than extra points? this race race should be all about the top performers, instead it has become all about 8-12 place.

Well, while everybody loves a winner, people also like to see the under dogs stick it to the big teams. So I can see the emphasis on who is going to make the top 10.

I will say, I miss the big dollar shootouts. You would think if NHRA has anybody working aggressively seeking corporate dollars, there would be companies out there that would step up for that kind of deal.

I sure hope terry can stay in top 10. Cruz may think he has a chance but.....

who doesn't love an underdog. case and point terry mcmillen's win last year. that was a rare one and reminded everyone that 'on any given sunday' (monday). not gonna' beat a dead horse here.
the countdown is in place now, and indy is final decider who is in and who is out. IMO not what indy should be for the pros, but it is what it is......what indy still excels at, is STK and SSTK class on
thursday. THAT would be awesome to go and watch. you win class there and you can hold your head up high.

I'm looking forward to see Terry, Scott, and Billy battle it out for that 10th spot. I'm a little bummed that FC is not closer.
I like them all,but im really pulling for Terry to place in top 10
