Enders v. Anderson

You should stop by Summit's Facebook page. In response to hundreds to messages, Summit has had to post "we've talked to Greg about this issue". And that post has received hundreds of comments, about 50/50 pro/con.

I'm definitely in Erica's corner on this deal, but honestly, what I think or don't think of Anderson didn't change. He's only guilty of airing his feelings on national television when they should have been aired in private. Not cool, but not exactly a cardinal sin, either.

It all makes for interesting forum talk and I've joined in with everyone else. But in the grand scheme of things, this incident won't even rank in the top 100.

I remember in 2005 when the Holley Dominator Duels were still in Chicago and Jason Line went red in the finals against Dave Connolly. Later on in the pits Jason was walking out and Dave was walking the other way and made sure to comment "Hey I like the color of your shirt, it suits you." I'm sure you can guess what color his shirt was... :D Just a little good natured ribbing.
Kind of like Denver, when Allen Johnson won the race after beating Anderson and Line, he made a comment like "It would be easy if I only had to race the Summit cars, they're no problem to beat" :p

Wait stop the presses.. i figured it out.... Greg called out Erica to start all this conversation about him and Summit because.... wait for it it..... wait for it...... MOPAR has been getting all the head lines lately.. its a PR ploy to get them on top of the reports..... before Allen and his guys atarted whooping butt.....

lol.... that a buddys drunk vision.. thought i would share.... :D

I freely admit that when I posted eariler I did not have all the information needed to form an informed decision. I don't see the TV shows, and wasn't close enough to hear what GA and EE were discussing. Having said that, the last thread that had this many responses was the Kurt Busch thread in May. Is this really that big a deal? Or are we just bored?

Yeah,I think it's a big deal along with several other posters here. Everybody knows you're close with most of the racers and you probably don't like it when these situations come up. The problem is,it's news, big news,it gave a lot of people a view of a guy who appears one way but acted another. I still can't believe he let this bother him. If what was posted here or another site about Summit addressing it on their facebook page, evidently they think it's a big deal too.

I agree, big deal

He may not be a "liability", but I can guarantee you no sponsor wants to be in the position of apologizing for their sponsored athletes.

After the success Greg Anderson has had in pro stock, I would seriously doubt Summit would be wanting to release him over something as insignificant as this. As someone once said, the only bad ink is no ink.

Just bored, but thank goodness it is almost time for college football!!!!!!!!!!:D

Honestly, I think it comes down to what kind of sense of humor you have.

If you have a good sense of humor about it, then the photo was funny. If you don't, then its taunting. Apparently, Greg didn't find it funny.

There's nothing boring about it. I think those who win championships should be a tad more mature, and carry themselves more disciplined, don't you?
It was embarrassing for the NHRA. A friend of mine who know's nothing about the NHRA made a comment about it over dinner last week. He know's I like racing, and he saw the show on TV. He thought GA looked pathetic as a man staring down at the ground while EE looked him straight in the eye.. That coming from Joe average public.

Personally, it was unique to see the character of GA spill out on the ground, and the character of EE shine.
One a gelding, the other a stand up business woman who intended on solving the problem like an adult, and on the spot...

If you are going to say multiple time @ the top end that you "don't want to be that guy" after beating her, then say "I didn't want to be that guy" when she does beat you, then you should expect a little ribbing back.

I didn't like Greg's continuing comments about not wanting to be that guy. They sounded petty and patronizing every time he said them.

If he had an issue with her and that picture, he should have found her in the pits and dealt with it in private.

I am a big GA fan, but I think he is the one that comes out looking bad here.

Easy now. ;)
The Hogs are my team. I'm a UA grad as well.
We'll be just fine this year without Bobby MF Petrino.

How did Petrino look like he had been in a hatchet fight without a hatchet and the girl didn't after the crash? Rumor has it the girls boyfriend caught them and Petrino took off on the bike, the guy chased him in his truck with the girl, Petrino crashes, the guy stops, the girl jumps out and now you know the rest of the story.;)

Auburn fans took up a collection and bought Nick Saban a Harley.:D
Now that's dank funny right there.......Auburn fans should be scrambling to do something.....
Oh and by the way has any one done a tally to see if Greg or Erica has mor support on this thread ?
