Did anybody else pick up on Dave Reiff's little innuendo during the telecast? First I ever heard of it. I'd consider it complete rumor

There was something on CompPlus several days ago about it, try looking there.

What Brent said. CompPlus had an article up stating Doug's kids were getting older and work commitments were becoming too much and he wasn't going to come back to the seat this year. The way the article read was that this could be his last year.

One of the sport's good guys. Always quiet, reserved and respectful. I think a 2013 championship for him would suit everybody just fine. 3.73@329 on a really iffy track would indicate his car at least has some potential. ;)

Doug never won a Championship?? :eek:Don't ever say that in front of Tony Stewart! LOL
I know his companies keep him and his wife pretty busy.... so I can't say this is any big surprise. Doug no longer driving doesn't mean Kalitta Motorsports no longer exists. Don't forget.......like Yoda said at the end of one Star Wars episode....there is another ....... (Kalitta)

Hiring huh? I would work for Team Kalitta and Jim Oberhofer in a heartbeat.

Yes and you actualy get Paid at Conrads. Talk to Nicky or Del those guys are easy to approach and will tell it to you straight.

James Riolo is the guy to talk to if you wan't to be a dragster guy, tell him I sent you, but have you're ducks in a row first.

......And there it is. :D It's been publicized before that Corey wants to drive. I believe the prerequisite was laid out by his Grandfather... get a college degree first. I have no clue where that stands; but it's a pretty safe bet that if and when that time comes - he'll be put in a car. Corey has a younger brother too. Doug has 2 kids too - and his son has already been seen behind the wheel of a Jr Dragster and a quarter midget sprint car. I dunno; Maybe his daughter will err on the side of caution and want to be a pilot LOL
