I know his companies keep him and his wife pretty busy.... so I can't say this is any big surprise. Doug no longer driving doesn't mean Kalitta Motorsports no longer exists. Don't forget.......like Yoda said at the end of one Star Wars episode....there is another ....... (Kalitta)

Yes and you actualy get Paid at Conrads. Talk to Nicky or Del those guys are easy to approach and will tell it to you straight.
James Riolo is the guy to talk to if you wan't to be a dragster guy, tell him I sent you, but have you're ducks in a row first.

I remember that as well. I felt so bad for Doug.
Who knows, mebbe this will be his year. that would be a great way to go out.

Another Kalitta?
Scott had 2 boys. I think his oldest might be close to old enough to drive if he chooses to.
Correct......his oldest son Corey is 20 I believe. I have seen him in the pits helping out before.

......And there it is. It's been publicized before that Corey wants to drive. I believe the prerequisite was laid out by his Grandfather... get a college degree first. I have no clue where that stands; but it's a pretty safe bet that if and when that time comes - he'll be put in a car. Corey has a younger brother too. Doug has 2 kids too - and his son has already been seen behind the wheel of a Jr Dragster and a quarter midget sprint car. I dunno; Maybe his daughter will err on the side of caution and want to be a pilot LOL
