Dallas TV audience (9 Viewers)

If so, that is great news. That is very high for drag racing. I wonder what the lead-in show was, and if that is why the ratings were so high.

So everyone was drinking and eating after the game and left the TV on ?? or the game ran over and the ratings were taken in the first 5-10 minutes of the NHRA telecast ??

Leads ins are always important and you can capture some holdovers. Maybe they only last a few minutes or just that race.....maybe they get hooked and watch more races in the future.

cowboys/lions was the fox nfl early game that was on. that game could have been a sunday night game. best guess is that game had
huge tv ratings. as i stated in another thread, at least there were winners in texas on sunday, and one of them was not the cowboys.
the nhra appears to have been a winner, as they probably not only got holdover viewers, but a large percentage of them were probably texans
checking out a texas motorsports event; a lot of them are probably aware of the motorplex ..... 1.87M wow, that's nhra's best ever isn't it?

Just read that the Fox broadcast on Sunday had 1.87 million viewers tune in which actually exceeded the NASCAR audience. Surprising and good to see! 👍
Is that because NHRA ratings are increasing or NASCAR ratings are declining?

What channel was NASCAR on, and what was the lead-in?

It was actually the Cowboys and Panthers that played and whether intentional or not worked out well for the NHRA showing the Dallas race while the Cowboy fans were still tuned in. A perfect lead in.
