Coughlin Jr to DSR? (1 Viewer)

So, what I am reading is Shoe started another "company" so he could field MORE cars???? Did I read that right?
Good for Jr. hopefully he can adjust to the TF car

My hunch is that DSR is 100% a Schumacher enterprise while DSM will have capital investments from others. Both teams under this umbrella have deep pockets, just not deep enough to go it alone, I assume.

I also find it interesting that the only Mopar sponsored team is fielding a Ford - but that may also be a reason for the other entity...who knows.

Don pops in here periodically so I'm sure he'll set the record straight if he so desires! Doesn't matter why, just matters that there are 2 new cars out there.

That's the first thing that came to my mind.

DSR is with Mopar.... DSM can be with Ford.

When I saw the title of this thread I automatically assumed it was Jeg Coughlin Jr. The "other" junior is Troy Jr.

psssssst ... DSM is the name of Schumacher's machine shop.
That's fine..... but that article that is now gone specifically mentioned "Don Schumacher Motorsports" which I took upon myself to abbreviate to DSM.

On a side note: Both "Don Schumacher Motorsports" and Don Schumacher Racing" are official registered business names with the Secretary of State in both Illinois and Indiana.

There's quite a bit on Google if you search "Don Schumacher Motorsports dsm"

Even a thread here from 2015 where this exact subject was covered once before. Looks like the machine shop is DSM Inc. Performance & Precision Machining

I'm not sure exactly what your point is?....

It's hard to discuss an article that was taken down shortly after it was posted. Did you read the article? I did. It implied that Bob Tasca and Coughlin would be racing under the "Don Schumacher Motorsports" name. How many current racers are running under that name? It's awesome that you guys knew about Schumacher's machine shop being called DSM, but how many race teams currently run under that banner? None that I am aware of. I'm not the only guy who originally thought Don created a new company to add more race teams, scroll up and read post number 2 in this thread by Ken Maune. I am not trying to create something that isn't there, I was just speculating (along with others in this thread) about an article that was posted on the internet. The article was deleted AFTER my original post in this thread. That is all.

this is how I read it and originally posted about it.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
2 cars under a new banner.

From what I understand, Tasca still owns his own team. He is only getting technical support from Don Schumacher.

Technical is the aspect that he moved into the DSR shop spot vacated by Bob Vandergriff.

When did Vandergriff move into DSR? in '13-'14 he was in Dixon's Building 2 doors down from Rapisarda when I was there?

I don't remember if it was last year or the year before when he moved out of Dixons shops...but, Terry Mcmillan's team is in there now.
