Long time in the making; emotional win for him. Hell of a drag race; Tasca is the real deal. But today was Pedregon's day. I was rooting for Brittany in the TF final but she's gotta learn to chop that tree a bit more. Steve Torrence is just too good. Same with DeJoria.
Congrats Cruz. Going to be a good season. Always wondered, remember when he was feared because he would pop up with really low et’s at times, although not consistent? Never knew when he’d go low so everyone had to step on it. Any ideas what drove those times? Everyone else just catch up?

I believe he was running those laid
back headers well before Beckman. I remember his struggles to keep it off the wall down track which would explain it.
Seeing those genuine emotions from Cruz after ending a 3 year span between wins was pretty moving.
I have to admit I was glad to see his win light come on. That final round was as good a drag race as there could ever be.
And, he did it on a hole shot with his daughter there to witness it.
Pretty cool.

Could have been. I remember hearing about Cruz experimenting with top fuel headers and different angles in the years prior to the Prock/Beckman car laying down those insane numbers. If I was to guess I bet people were playing with angles going waaaaay back. Too many smart people to have never went down that road.
If Cruz and team can keep that performance and consistency going there is no reason to believe they won’t be in the hunt at seasons end. I’d love to see it coming down to 5 or more cars for the championship going into last race.
I was about to say....how 'bout a shoutout for SnapOn, who's stuck with Cruz all this time (and some rough economic times as of late) despite him being pretty much a non-factor other than he's obviously well-known.
