Congrats to Cruz and his crew. I've never been a big Cruz fan, but respect him for all he's done . I would bet Cruz does an a lot of promotional things for Snap-on and they have a pretty good ROI. Hope he can continue his success.
I met his car chief at a bar one Saturday (Chris?) and he said Cruz was a great guy, demanding of course and put his heart, soul and money into the race car. I always considered it the ultimate compliment when you like and respect your boss. Go Cruz. This team must be costing him a fortune.
Seeing those genuine emotions from Cruz after ending a 3 year span between wins was pretty moving.
I have to admit I was glad to see his win light come on.
I found it difficult to believe that Cruz had not won a 2 wide race since 2014. 7 season's doesn't seem possible.
Alan - You got a email about the 2 white stripes on Cruz's car. I believe, the stripes on the windshield help him narrow in on where straight is. As in, not straight into the wall. Twice
I wasn't bustin' chops AR, I didn't have 2 people talking in 1 ear, and 2 FC's doing a burnout in both. - upon further review

I know on the inside Snap-on loves Cruz, and everything that he does with them.
Tool companies, like most companies, depend on you, being loyal to their brand. In return, they are loyal to their chosen driver. Doug and Antron, for example.
It seems to me that Cruz and team has been the underdog for quite some time now. They've dealt with many adverities over the past couple of years and that had to be some part of the emotions displayed by Cruz during the top end interview. Drag racing can be a humblng sport.
Congratulations to all of them and we hope to see it again soon.
It must have been a very tough dry period for Cruz. Big respect for him !! Hooking up with Collins was the move that finally got him a winning crew. More to come i'm sure.
