College Football rivalries (2 Viewers)

Calling PJ, Dave Major, and Teri with an I--correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Ohio State-Michigan contest this weekend? And no postings from any of you? Man, I've been looking forward to all that snappy reparte' all season!

Hey Terry!

Sorry I haven't been able to participate in the forum the last couple months.
:( Due to a heavy work schedule and a daughter in her senior year of high school and another involved in every activity know to man I have been out of commssion. However yes indeed it IS MICHIGAN/ohio state week. My Wolverines may suck this year but I will NEVER jump ship or give up. Besides with them having an "off" year it will only make the VICTORY over ohio state this year taste that much sweeter!!!

WOO HOO MICHIGAN/ohio state week!!

GO BLUE!!!

Terry,

Who do you have this weekend? We're off and then go to Arrowhead to kick the yardbirds (Jayhawks) butts. Hopefully...it'll be a blood letting! :D
Man, have I been messed up calendar-wise all month. Now that I have figured out that today is NOT Thanksgiving, I have come to the realization that the Huskers are idle this weekend and will play Colorado next Sat on Nov. 29. Duh....

Good to hear from you, Dave! I know the feeling of the child involved in everything. My son was a wrestler and a speech specialist--overlapping and concurrent seasons that required quite a bit of creative trave to make it all work. He finally chose the forensics field over wrestling his senior year to focus on working towards a collegiate speech scholarship (he made it--full ride to Doane College here in Nebraska and qualified for Nationals his freshman year) and to be able to eat again--pretty hard for a senior of ANY size to stay at 112 for 4 years! Hope Teri stops by to give the Michigan loyal her "good luck wishes"! Take care!

I think OU will beat Texas Tech this weekend since they are playing at OU. I think it will be a tough game, but I give OU the advantage. (and Tom, you have no idea how hard it is for me to say that:p)

Hi Tom! How are ya? Got a question for you--I must ashamedly admit that I am more than a casual watcher of the WWE--end of confession. But as such, Jim Ross is always wearing some type of OU attire, and there are many references to how big a fan of OU he is and how he attends many practices, etc. If you know who JR is, can you tell me if he is really that deep into the OU Sooners or is it just a bunch of storyline stuff mfg. by the WWE? Thx. Predictions for the TT-OU contest? I think it's gonna be a good one. The only prediction I'm gonna make is that there will be an aggregate total of at least 100 points scored.:D
I don't know what the over/under is but if it's anything less than 70 I'm taking the over! JR is definitely a big OU fan, even got himself a couple of BBQ joints around here. Never met the man but I guess he can't be all bad... :)

lol... thanks, I know that's gotta be difficult.

I'm going to be out in Vegas this weekend to see some of the SCSN race and get in a little R&R plus some much-needed quality time with my way-too-good-for-me girlfriend. We'll probably end up watching the game at Caesar's before we go to see Jeff Dunham later that night. I'd like to see a complete pasting of the Sand Aggies... something to the tune of 56 - 21. That would definitely make me smile!

:D

Way to go Tommy Boy! For the record, there are no women way-too-good-for-you. You are first-class in our books and she will have to measure-up to you as far as I'm concerned (and I hope you know me well enough to know I don't use a tape to measure up a good woman.) Have a great weekend and may things prove to be worth the long-haul, shall we say?

Cool, Tim. You are the consummate sportsman and I am proud to have you as an adopted Husker fan! Who do the Horns have Sat or are they open also?

I actually saw his cookbook once! Have a great trip, Tom, and I agree with Bobby--she must be a good one, cause we all think a lot of you here! (Except for the OU, Ford thing and..aw never mind.) Have a great and potentially profitable trip...and get ready--here it comes--Good Luck to OU against Texas Tech!

Hey Terry, we have this weekend off (THANKFULLY:p), but we have our "in state rivalry" on Thanksgiving day with Texas A&M here in Austin. This is the first time in years that they are playing on turkey day instead of the day after and I am glad because I always miss the game having to work on Friday!

Thank a lot, Doc... much appreciated. Assuming y'all are going to Firebird this weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing the great pics from Paul and / or Buzzz. Any of their handiwork on the water this weekend?

Thanks, Terry. If both teams perform to their potential I think this could be one for the ages. Hopefully we'll come out on the winning end this time! The over/under at Caesar's was posted at 76, lol!

Off to the track!

BUCKEYES over the Wolverqueens. It's a great day!!!!
Had fun texting with ya PJ, but we both knew how it was gonna end!!!
:p:):p

ya know folks it wasn't bad enough that she got to rip on my via text all game then she had to throw a countdown line into it too lol

I was hopeful for the game, maybe at least that it would be close. Hung in for the first half then........ Still proud to be blue, wore the jersey today and I'll wear it on our bowl ga......oh wait we're not going to one nevermind:(

Shcoked to see Oklahoma beating up on texas tech so bad. I figured they would win but up 28 points by half thats crazy. I wonder whats the worst a #1 team has lost before.

Well, Tom, OU is well on their way to pasting the Aggies. 42-7 at the half. While I'm not surprised that OU is leading, I am surprised at the big margin for just the first half.

Since this is rivalry weekend in college football, my Minnesota Golden Gophers are playing their chief rival, Iowa, and are getting soundly thrashed, 55-0 with about 6 minutes to play as I write this. Can't figure out this Gophers team. 4 weeks ago, they were 7-1 coming off a couple of big road victories over Purdue and Illinois. Since then, they've totally gone in the tank and look like they couldn't beat anybody, like last year's 1-11 debacle.

Now, before y'all start anointing the Sand Aggies as lord and master over anything, remember they've got a date with Sam Bradford and Co. in Norman OK in about 10 days.
Not that I like to quote myself, but DAMN!!!!

I have tortillas! :p;)
It's gonna take more than tortillas... y'all needed Superman and I'm not sure that would've been enough.
well steve we aint going to have to worry about that b/c tt is going to win out. Ou's going down this weekend! Sorry tom.
lol. Oh yeah, did I say "lol"?

:D
There I go quoting myself again... I wasn't too far off after all, just reversed the 5 and 6. I do get to gloat just a little bit, don't I? :D

Boomer Sooner!!!

Congrats Teri to you and your Buckeyes!! 5 in a row is indeed impressive. I would never give up on the Maize and Blue but this game went as I expected it. I'm sorry to admit but I almost predicted it exactly to my Buckeye buddy in Chicago. I predicted the score would be 42 - 10 OSU. I even told him Michigan would lose two fumbled kick returns and they didn't disapoint me. Like I said though I will always stick with my WOLVERINES but congrats again Terri. I'm already working on buying next years season tickets. I will be in the Big House next year when Meechigan rolls over OSU and starts a new streak the opposite direction!

GO BLUE!!!!

All I have to say about the game is congratulations to OU and ouch! that bites.

Congrats Tom on OU's stellar win last night!!! I missed it due to my son's cub scout campout we had, but I kept checking the Blackberry and giving everyone score updates!!! As hard as it is for me to say being a Texas fan, OU deserves to be in the Big12 title game and the National Championship game if they can get past OSU in the same fashion as Tech!!!
Great win for the most complete team in the country!!!
