That's incredible. Obsessive in a good or bad way I guess is for each to judge. I envy the patience either way. I thought the Weber scaled down engine was something. An entire car, though!
I have to wonder. If you're going to produce each part as an exact replica, how much would the cost difference REALLY be between 1/3 scale and original size? Bigger machinery to produce the block?
