Sportsman car count looks down considerably. Are gas prices responsible for most of it?

I understand there was but a couple didn't make legal or complete runs before qualifying was cut short by rain. If they had the Saturday Night show, Today's field would have been different.

Congrats to Peanut for getting the title defense back on track! And you can't stop Laurie Cannister ... you can only hope to contain her. Does she have the championship locked up yet? Gotta be getting close to it by now.

no...Laurie doesn't have it wrapped up just yet....still 6 races to go...but...what a great place to be sitting in the points!!!

Besides the fuel prices...I also feel that a lot of racers are picking and choosing what races they are going to...too we can only claim our best 3 of 5 nationals. last year it was best 3 of 6...and before that best 4 of 6. which I think it NEEDS to go back to!
