Well my thoughts on this are and I am sure a lot of you guys will have more details than I..............
If you were MOPAR and back in the 70's you followed all the rules, developed an engine and car, dominated Nascar and then were banned outright what you would have to be excited about.
Then around the same time you had a program in NHRA following all the rules and were so dominate they ADDED rules to slow you down so OTHERS could be competitive, What incentive would you have to proceed to develop better technology.
With that being said, MOPAR has announced some parts, such as stand alone programmers for street rod builders which seems to show they are slowly getting back into the performance arena.
Oh, and, remember Dodge has the two FACTORY stock, with warranty, highest HP cars on the market today, so I think they are serious about performance.
Not to mention they are by far the best looking.
