Wow. A true legend - and a heck of a good singer. He was one of those guys with such a special voice, there will never be another like him... like Steve Perry.

Sad news indeed. That first Boston album is something special...over 17 million copies sold.

Not a bad one among them...

01. More Than a Feeling
02. Peace of Mind
03. Foreplay/Long Time
04. Rock & Roll Band
05. Smokin'
06. Hitch a Ride
07. Something About You
08. Let Me Take You Home Tonight

RIP Brad :(

Brad was easily one of my top 5 favorite voices of all times. The quality of Boston's music was always second to none. I love everyting they ever put out and I saw them in concert from an awesome seat right over the stage.

This is so sad.

Boston hit the same fate as Peter Frampton..your best was your first..and oh what a first.

Tom Scholz was way ahead of his time..invented many state of the art devices for amps/guitars..MIT/Polaroid/Math genious, etc.

Brad's voice is one of a kind.

RIP

One of my first concerts as a kid was one of their biggest- Touring for the More Than A Feeling single from the first ALBLUM ( ) and playing Madison Square Garden on their first tour... I still have the ticket stub... good seats were $7.50

He'll be missed, and the band really won't be the same without him

R.I.P.

I don`t know..."Don`t Look Back" was pretty good.

Sad to read of his passing first thing in the morning, I know I played the hell out them when I was in high school/college. Really bummed I never got to see them live.

Oh, man! That's my fave group ever! :(

I don't think I have one favorite group, but they definitely tie for first with anyone else. When I heard the news report, they said the group was just getting ready to rehearse for a tour later this year. Never got to see many concerts as a teenager, and that's one I would have gone to due to loving their music so much while growing up. They were talking on the radio about the magical combination of his voice and those guitars, how that'll never happen again.

Another music legend gone. He definitely had a great voice that just can't be duplicated. I think I've got 4 or 5 versions of their first album, a couple normal cd's, a 24k gold remaster cd and a SACD (Super Audio CD) that I just bought a couple weeks ago. You wouldn't believe how good the SACD sounds!

Been my favorite band since infancy. With recordings on an 8 track created in their basement that rival any recording ever done with any amount of money and any amount of technology. I did get the chance to see Boston a few times, and cherish the way they shaped my music and my life of listening to music. We will miss you Brad.

sad news indeed...

That was a different time wasn't it. I think that's the kind of song that felt awkward to sing later on. Brad didn't drink or do any drugs at all.

BTW, His family's statement asks for donations to the American Heart Association.
