There's a reason why Tucson Dragway is doing so well, it's because Jim Hughes has people who care about drag racing working there; I've been shooting at WHP for 3 years now and I still don't understand the politics. To my understanding; however, both the NHRA and LO Drag Boat contracts are up this year, so I have no idea what's going to happen. Of course, I've heard rumors; but, nothing solid.
If modern amenities and huge grandstands are what define a good racing experience then New England is not for you. If close racing and being close to the action in an old school atmosphere floats your boat then the NED experience will leave you smiling. Can't be all things to all people.

I've "seen" Epping on U-Tube & think it's interesting that there is a hill on the left side of the track. Motor homes parked up there, get a good view of the action. I look at a lot of videos of various tracks, especially eastern tracks, & it always amazes me the amount of trees around the tracks. I'm so used to Phoenix (we actually do have trees) & the desert, so it's just different to me. Not to mention that we have low humidity - have seen 2-3% in the summer. Of course, it is 5 million degrees....
