How long till this Lucky SOB gets to be crew cheif ? Which brings up another question how long would it take to learn a postition like this , has he ever been a bottom end guy ? or clutch guy ? Will he take Bernie's place someday ?
You guys can make all the snide, jealous comments about Danny that you want. He is a really good guy, he is very smart and he has been around the sport for quite a few years. He has plenty of responsibilities on the team and works as hard as anyone there. And he didn't marry Ashley to get a job, he already had one. He married her because he loves her.
Alan
Danny did top end on Mike Ashley's team, I'm pretty sure that he worked on Gary Scelzi's team too?He was a crewman on Mike Ashley's FC when he met Ashley. Not sure exactly his role on that team, but yes, he has done something other than marry Ashley and get her pregnant
Who questioned why he married her or his abilities to work on a fuel car?

Ahh the joys of the internet. Without intonation or facial expressions, it's really hard to know what the OP's intent was.
I read it with a smile, as a few friends would say over a beer: "man, that lucky SOB...". With the kind of tone you would say with the person standing there. But maybe that's just me.
And it's hard to look at it and not think how lucky he is. Get's to do something many people would love to do. Work with/for/around some of the best in his chosen profession, and contribute in a meaningful way too. On top of that he has a gorgeous wife, who by all appearances is a wonderful person, and a brand new baby. Add in a pretty secure future financially, and that looks like a pretty good life. Whether you want to argue he earned it or not, in the larger scheme of things, that's a lucky guy.
If I misread the tone I'm sorry
