Okay, I am bugged. Not that it really matters I am sure... and forgive me if I am wrong here. And I know this doesn't apply to everyone... BUT...
Shouldn't we be thanking Evan Knoll for spending the time and money he has on the racers, teams and events that he has done over the past few years...
Instead of demanding that someone spend THEIR money on our enjoyment instead of spending some much needed time recovering so they may live and live in a way that they might have a chance to enjoy future years with their families, friends and if they wish, their business - so that they might have the opportunity to continue to participate fully in the future?
I don't know about some people, but I really don't function well without my brain. Of course, I haven't tried it, so it might just be a guess here. If any of you know, please tell me what it's like.
And another thing... Last time I checked, this was still the United States of America, where the basic premise is supposed to be life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness... not a communist or socialist country that insists that everything you do, earn or are is rightfully owned by the state/government.
It's a sad thing when a man can't make a decision about his health without being pressured to "tell all" to the masses. Some people do prefer to keep health issues private... that is one of the reasons why Doctors and Lawyers have to have so much signed documentation to disclose information... with the exception of HIPA.
What ever happened to a simple "thank you" for so much that has been done?
Where is is written that we are entitled to know everyones business?
I love the races, I love going, watching and the independence of spirit and competitiveness that people who have ever raced anything show. I wish Mike Ashley and all the others only the best of luck because this is a tough obstacle. But I believe they will overcome. Mostly, I wish Evan Knoll well, so he can come back to something he obviously loves.
But I am not going to the store to get cheese today.
