Ron,
Your motus-operandi is always the same,
You are proved wrong, so in turn, you attack the person who proves you wrong. Just be a man and just let it go without making it worse for yourself.
If you feel that "isn't straight talk refreshing" Bobby Miller somehow exonerates you, well, that's really getting desperate.

Quit making these subjects about "you against me". I don't know you, and I don't want to know you. I think we are both good with that. If you want to dive into the slime pit and have a war of words, I'm game, but lets do it on the PM board. I could have you throwing your computer out the window in a day. I find that entertaining from time to time, but a war of words between you and me does nothing for the other people who are reading this thread for what it's worth, and that's about Knoll and the karma that is coming around.
If people want to read the Knoll tirade thread, I am sure they can do it all by themselves and see right through your one sided editing and read and decide their own opinions "for themselves" what you and Bobby said.

I agree with George, if you guys want to continue your personal jabs please do so in a PM dialog.

All can say is if it SMELLS like a duck.......It LOOKS like a duck....It WALKS like a duck.....Then it IS a duck!

This guy defrauded banks, the IRS, and anyone that he could to dump all this money in drag racing...Some of you think that he is wonderful for putting so much money in this sport, but the fact is, he fu**ked a lot of people in the aftermath, and that is just unacceptable...

Face it...the guy is a P.O.S. for what he did...I am VERY confused why some people, who I consider quite intelligent based on what they have contributed on other topics here, just don't recognize it..

The only analogy that I can think of is the girl that you loved broke your heart when you found out that while you were dating her, that she screwed ALL of your friends....but she was SO hot, the FIRST girl that ever gave you a second look and was even NICE to you, and SO good in the sack, that you try to hang on to her anyway EVEN THOUGH she is obviously a worthless pig.....You just try to justify what she did somehow, and defend her because you are PW'd and think that you can forgive her and you two will get back together...Make sense?

It's time to get over it already....! lol

I guess I should explain my original post from page one, I think what he was doing for the sport was a great thing, HAD he done everythng the right way. We see now that things were not as they seemed and were too good to be true. It would be awesome if someone or company would enter the sport who actually had the money to spend as he did.

Now isnt "THIS STRAIGHT TALK REFRESHING"........Nice work Jay, well spoken

My feelings:
Evan had a closed head injury, changes peoples actions.
Evan was trying to help a lot of people.
Every person is entitled to their day in court.

Question
Remember the Whittington Brothers? They brought a LOT of money into road racing. They literally grew their money. What, is there, a difference?

As I remember the Whittington brothers, they did spend a lot of money on racing. They raced their Porsches and bought Road Atlanta, but I don't remember them bringing down a bunch of other teams and people when the feds finally caught up with all of their drug dealing. The difference there is that they were the ones who paid the piper and IMSA didn't wind up with several teams sidelined by the actions of one or two people.

Not knowing Evan or his background I expressed concern when he started all of his sponsorships because it doesn't matter who does it, if one source of money becomes too important to too many teams it becomes a liability to the series. Nobody is too big to fail and have to back out of its commitments. Look at GM. What happens to Pro Stock if they go bankrupt and pull out of the sport?

I want everyone to take a deep breath and answer one question. If Evan had never put one penny into the sport, would the last five years have been better............or worse. Really think about it and answer honestly if that is possible.

That sums it up for me. He did a lot of good for the sport and helped a lot of people that needed it. I am sorry it seems to have all fallen apart for him and those who he helped, but choose to remember the positive rather than only focus on the negative.

Without Evan and Torco our race team would not be where it is today,Our main concern Evan and his family hope everything works it self out. DCjr

maybe he helped the sport in the short term, but the long term effects were not worth it. not only were the raceteams screwed, but it doesnt help the NHRA's national image to be associated with companies that are the subject of FBI raids.
