I am not sure way you have such a problem with the family sponsorship. She bas a tremendous passion for the sport and is a very good ddiver , keeps the car where it needs to be on the track and her 2025 average reaction times are only.0007 seconds worse than Bab Tasca.. Her father is an amazing story. Lived in a foster home for years as a young child
served in the Navy and built his empire starting literally with nothing and turning that into billions. He loves his daughter, appreciates her passion and also advertises one of his companies too. Maybe it's me but what's not to love about the entire story?

Alexis will always have my respect. She probably could've went the easier route and jumped in some A/Fuel Dragster, but she chose to race Top Alcohol Funny Cars. Lots of hard ass racers in that class and some of the divisional tracks could be hairy.
There's many different paths to having a pro ride in any racing series. All at some point will include lots of someone's money.

Her dad is one hell of a story, and seems like a really good dude. He went from living in his car to a billionaire! I for one can promise you that if I became a billionaire and my daughter had a passion, I’d make it happen for her too! Some people have such a negative mindset that they cant just be happy for someone else. Same with people bashing the IHRA. It’s not the NHRA and it’s not trying to be. How anyone who claims to be a drag racing fan can sit and bash someone for buying tracks and bringing them back to life in a time when more and more tracks are disappearing, and spends his money to give the underdogs a place to play baffles me! I wouldn’t call myself an Alexis fan, but I do root for her to do good, and I’m damn glad she has “daddy’s money” to field another competitive funny car!

So this has morphed way out of where it started. The original comment was about sponsors. Yes it is great she is racing and she has lots of backing.
Capco, Scrappers, etc are not paying for any other driver, they pay for themselves, great we have cars and money for the sport but what is the future of the sport.
They are not sponsoring the future of the sport, NHRA has to figure out how to get sponsors involved that are not funding themselves. We are going to run out of rich people wanting to play. There are a lot of good drivers out there with no money and no sponsorship because it is way too expensive for the ROI. Everyone says that's not the reason but there is no company putting up millions to get nothing back. It doesn't necessarily mean a financial return but at least a fair amount of TV time. Look at all the sponsors that have left the sport.
Personally I think next year is going to be a rude awakening.
Yes I have been involved in this for 50 years so I have watched the decline, flourishing and further decline. I talk to people now that have never heard to the NHRA, kids are on their phones, the pits are filled with old people, racers and spectators.

That's why I tell everyone I know about my passion for (NHRA) drag racing. I wish some of our drivers could be on shows like Kelly Clarkson, Drew Barrymore, The View, Kelly and Mark or any of the nighttime talk shows just to get some eyeballs on them. I think if any of them, especially the women, talk about what is needed to keep the cars in the groove, and speeds at witch they go, would pique SOME people's curiosities!
