Alexis Officially Joins JFR

I read recently that his new lady friend doesn't like racing.... Who knows, if that's true, but he got into the sport because his late wife was really into Drag Racing.
Ever see the cartoon with the little girl pulling her panties out, and telling the little boy. With this I can control everything you want and do.
The boy responds, That's doesn't look like a race car. Lol

Ditch her and keep the racing
One. Hundred. Percent.

Still, I find it pretty hard to believe that a respected, accomplished businessman like Joe Maynard would let a girlfriend steer him away from the sport he's invested so much time and money into. Gotta be something else if he's actually getting out. Of course, I never expected 73 YO Bill Belichick to allow a snotty little 20-something gold digger to lead him around by the nose like a horny teenager, either.

One problem …. As much as everyone likes Alexis and respects her competitive nature, her RTs are not winners. She brought the funding but will have to fix this. Her RTs for the countdown appear as follows, from last race to first.
099
.133
.130 .086
.114
.069 .113

I know, I don’t drive one of these but others do and the data doesn’t lie. Let’s see if the Force team can help.
This will be a proving ground for her. She has alot of years under her belt. She is highly motivated. Now she will be part of a top notch organization, with John and all the cast of characters to help. Big question is can she improve her reaction times ????

Let's not forget that on a nitro car RT is more d just the driver it includes the tune-up how the car goes from idle to WOT (throttle response), clutch pack clearance and set-up (how and where on the throttle pedal the cable is attached). The team at JFR will get whatever the issue was fixed.

Wasn't that the complaint on the JFR Dragster for the last few years? If it was mechanical I'm sure Grubby would've had it worked out by now.

Slightly off topic but RT is an interesting subject. Nobody can explain (yet) why Erica and Justin are the queen and king of RT. Others have somewhat almost caught up though. But I’m wondering if any racers have gone the scientific route to improve using sports psychologists or physiological testing and adjustments. Studies have shown that in tests, men in general react faster while women react more precisely. Predictably, age results in increased reactions but it’s a slow curve. Hydration can play a part, having the right amount of caffeine in your system may help lower reaction times, stress levels have an impact etc. Practice trees are a good tool but I wonder if anyone has taken the next step of measuring reactions with different physiological states? Any examples of a racer going this route?

Or maybe the chaos of a nitro car makes such things moot.

yeah, she's been out there and motivated for a while now. appears to me like she still loves it. IMO rt's can be combinations of
diet, sleep, stress, and mechanical. hope everything works out for her and the team, and they can improve in '26.
in 2017 alexis stood on podium clutching trophy with leah (pizza years). not sure if that's happened since.

Jack Beckman is one of the best leavers and has taught at Holly's school. He would be able to help her reaction times.
