which is round 5 according to run sheet. what i'm wondering is if i'm reading bracket correctly and he has bye to round 4?
is round 4 the deciding round?
 
Rain delays at the Pomona Finals. I don't remember the last time that happened. At the Winternationals - it's pretty common. But not in November at Pomona. Bummer.

Watched rd 1 qualifying on Nhratv, John was at the starting line for Prock and Beckman and then when Brittany came up but that was when the rain started.

Sadly, the rain was almost a local Pomona occurrence! It had been in the high 50's all morning with dark clouds drifting in and out of sunshine.

It started to "sprinkle" right after Top Dragster and continues to have on and off varying intensidency for several hours. We were cold and wet, and decided to just give it up for the day, as the Radar show even more moisture ahead for a long time.

We didn't get far from the track before we had bright sun and no clouds. The clouds were pushed back against the mountains as far as you could see!
 
Today should be a bit cold but clear; tomorrow should be great with a high of 70, clear and a light breeze >10mph.

I still remember when Bernstein (TF) shot the lights out in similar conditions at Pomona on Sunday nearly 30 years ago, laying down an alltime best 318mph pass which even today would be considered respectable. Those cars had what, about 1/2 the HP they have today? It was 1320 of course but still, a hell of a run. Speaking of which, what's KB doing these days?

I just happened to be in LA on a business trip around 1990, so I got tickets for Saturday. Wouldn't you know it started to rain Saturday morning, and the day was canceled before noon.
 
Doug 300 mph to the 1/8! Britt and Steve O ran 3.64, how low can the FC’s go? 😳

Prock … just Wow! As good a leaver as Antron is, I don’t see him cutting the .040s Justin has all day and he can’t run fast enough to make it up. This is Mike Greene’s to lose.

Langdon vs Justin or Antron in E2 could happen. Josh Hrt could be a spoiler and then it's a free for all
 
Did Buddy Hull-Jim Dunn round 3 get thrown out for some reason. DRC notes say he ran 4.076/305.29, but qualifying order says 8.320/78.61,
 
I see that Nascar journalists Bob Pockrass and Kelly Crandall out taking in the race. Both posting updates on their Twitter accounts.
