I see that Nascar journalists Bob Pockrass and Kelly Crandall out taking in the race. Both posting updates on their Twitter accounts.
If I recall, Team Kalitta took Kelly Crandall to the Bristol race a few years ago on a NASCAR off-day and she has been writing occasionally about NHRA for Racer.com ever since.

She has two NHRA pieces on Saturday's Racer.com bulletin, along with a NASCAR item.

There is a good chance that in second round, that they would face Langdon (if he wins first round) who is only 1 pt. behind Antron.
Since I'm not necessarily an Antron fan or an Ashley fan, I'd sure like to see Langdon come from behind and win one more for the Bounty Hunter team.

I heard yesterday at the track that Mark Oswald is retiring after today, so I wonder how that will affect Antron's team next year.

Another BIG first round matchup is Billy Torrence vs Tony Stewart. The winner stays in the top ten, loser is 11th. Also Schumacher vs Millican which could greatly affect the 4th-8th final order.

Yesterday at Pomona, Alan was on the mic for Sportsman, then he went to the top end for interviews during the fuel cars. I never could catch the name of the guy who did the announcing for the fuel cars, but he was nowhere near as good as Alan. NHRA really needs to get Alan back as the #1 announcer for at least the Pro classes and maybe Top Alcohol as well. I wonder if Alan will be the main announcer for today's action?

Doug 300 mph to the 1/8! Britt and Steve O ran 3.64, how low can the FC’s go? 😳

Well.....3.804, Prock. Not bad.
It was great to see a blower car win the championship. Congratulations to the Cowie team!
Indeed. And even after all these years and total acceptance of the injected nitro cars in TAD, it just seems right that an alcohol fueled dragster winds up on top of the Top Alcohol Dragster category.

How awkward was the Stewart/Pritchett race?

Hate to see Mark Oswald retiring. Always rooted for him when he was a driver.
Awkward enough for Tony to make the comment right after winning the race with Pritchett "If I had known my new baby boy would have been such a good luck charm I would have knocked Leah up on the first date". :D

I bet that one gets talked about for awhile.

Shout-out to Greg Anderson for Championship #6. He can still compete with the kids! His last two races he lost by .002 and .005, then he wins the run for the championship by .002. I think that was the only time this year he led the points. Got to know him since he was crew chief and part time racer for George Marnell. Very happy for him.
