After many years of the Winternationals being held around the second week of February,(which happened to be the best weather So Cal has gotten in months)the brass over at our beloved Hot Rod Association decided to move them to the last week weekend of this month. Looks like that all major weather related services are predicting rain those days...Wonderful job there NHRA!!!! your beyond bright!!! Anyone love watching the races at WORK on monday?..

The forecast is likely to change 10-15 times before next weekend.....why don't you wait and see what actually happens before spouting off.

I never trust any Weather forecasts till the Wednesday before the event! 2 weeks out is a crapshoot!!

Yeah, with an option to put the Winternationals right on top of the NASCAR Daytona 500 - that would mean that NO media would turn out to cover the event in Pomona. Hardly a reason to bag on NHRA.

Even the semi-professional Weathermen in LA Television with Doppler 9000 equipped studios have no idea what is happening on that weekend.

Bring a raincoat and a hat, just in case. :D

X2 next it'll be NHRA's fault because the temperature is too hot or cold. Mods should pull this thread due to the title.

Check with Al Gore. He seems to know what the weather will be like in 200 years. 2 weeks should be a no brainer.

Where do we start on this one....

Truth be told weather really can't be precticed beyond a guess beyond 48 hours.

As Darr mentioned, not a good idea to have it go head to head with Daytona.

and with dropping a couple of national events these last two seasons, the had to move it back so as to not stretch the season. Too much down time throughout the season takes away momentum that the sport gets. It's still spread out to start the season but moving it back makes it a little less.
