12 car tf field ,ever been that small?

I read team kalitta will not be racing today which i commend them for. This makes it a 12 car field. Has the TF field ever been that low at an nhra meet?

just makes you think, if it wasnt for kalitta, schu, force and some other mutli car teams where would the fuel cars be? As it is they only had 15 cars on friday in TF.

And still prostock and prostock bike and promod get thrown on the backburner

Ironically, I believe they only had 12 Top Fuel cars at the 1984 Summernationals, when the class had a dearth of drivers. That was before Big Daddy returned to Indy that year.
