NHRA needs to get their head out of their ass and listen to WJ on the airborne cars he is someone who knows what he is talking about, but oh well I 4got not a lot of common sense in the Glendora towers !!

If the NHRA wants proof that roof flaps and rails work, then buy one of the NASCAR racers left over from the crash-fest at Talledega (probably can get one cheap, slightly banged up), put drag racing gears in it, and wet the track 3/4 of the way down so they can get up a good speed before spinning out.....

Why don't the door car guys just implement what WJ is suggesting, rather than wait for a ruling? Is there a downside to these rails and flaps?

I would expect the door car guys that ended up on their roofs recently would be the first to implement any of these...

None, other than cutting up your high dollar carbon fiber body. They can double as vents while backing up after the burn-out.

Let's hope someone in charge can make a decision before there are to many more of these accidents.

It really does not seem that hard to figure out a way to release the pressure inside the body once a car gets backwards and airborne.
