Why is the IHRA buying SO MANY Racetracks?

If you own the tracks your events are at you secure your future. They won't be IHRA one year and NHRA the next.

IMO looking at it from a business standpoint, based on ones I have been involved with, they are not making anymore land, if you own the property it is more than likely going to be worth more than when you purchased it. Also these are large tracts which are desirable to many builders, warehouses etc.
Even if things do not work out and he can sell off his properties and break even that would be amazing in business.
 
to add to your point ken, not only are they large tracts desirable to many builders, they might be very desirable to a specific builder.
 
Hi Josh, do you have any new info on commerce track? i see the local board approved it
for racing again.

Are you thinking of builders who build data centers or warehouse/distribution centers?
