I would like to say I'm sorry to anybody I pissed off or offended by what I said earlier. What I wrote did't come across right. The point I was trying to make was that I just didn't think the girl's outfit was very tasteful for the professionalism of NHRA Drag Racing. I was comparing it to something like our former Miss Winston Jackie Beck used to wear. A sexy yet tasteful uniform. For those that don't remember, Jackie looked absolutely beatiful in that leather outfit in Winston colors; what a doll. I was not trying to personally attack the young lady pictured with Del, in fact, I think she is quite hot. In my opinion, I just don't think a girl dressed that way is the right way to represent our sport. In most other surroundings, I'd say go for it. She has a great figure so show it off. I do remember the days of the greasy drivers with the hot chick in the Winner's Circle and I think it was great. Hell, I've got an old picture of Ed McCulloch in the Winner's Circle with his arms wrapped around Linda Lovelace. I think it's a totally cool photo and by the look on Ace's face, he seems more happy to see her than being happy about his victory. I really enjoy seeing the old pictures of Jungle Pam. She was as big a part of Jungle's show as he was and at the time it was great for Drag Racing. That was OK for our sport at the time because it was mostly about the show. Today, Drag Racing could be argued to be too corporate and professional for a modern day Jungle Pam type of character. I was not trying to attack women, beatiful or not. I think there are many women in Drag Racing that are quite beautiful. Melanie, Angelle, Ashley, and others look great. I think Hillary is absolutely beatiful and a wonderful person. I'm proud to call her a friend. These ladies all have something in common. They look great but they show their beauty in a tasteful way. That's all I was trying to say.

This subject just happened to pop up when I was having a totally sh*t day. I have been dealing with some tough issues over the past few weeks and I have been able to keep my emotions in check. However, today I dealt with one of my customers that at times can be somewhat unreasonable. This person just really pissed me off today and I blew my top. I needed a break so I came to the Mater to see what was happening. I saw this thread and it just set me off. I just didn't make my point correctly. At the time I didn't see the point of this thread just being a joke, but I do now. Again, I am sorry if I upset somebody, I wasn't trying to.

BTW, I too think it is great that the Worsham Team was able to pull off a win. After all of their struggles, I think they were due some success.

You didn't piss me off or offend me, I just thought the comments were too harsh and I questioned them. But you've explained and apologised, so I think we're all happy and past it now :).

On the outfit, if I'm not mistaken, it's what has been worn by the promo girls for a few years now, so I think it's standard issue. Personally, I think she looks fabulous.

And, yes, it was great to see Del get back to winning after the trials and tribulations of the past couple years - couldn't have happened to a more deserving team.

PS: I don't think I've ever seen Ace hang with Linda Lovelace

Once again what was posted as a joke has failed miserably.

I think I better just bow out of this stuff when a morality lesson is somehow taken from a post like my last-or was it another opportunistic arrow I've just somehow taken for the team.
Didn't mean to post so hastily, Doc..I need to take time to comprehend first..hehe.

When I read things that aren't there..time for my meds.

I think we all agree, Del was due.

The last time Melanie won we spared every expense in getting Trophy Studs for her in the winners circle. She loved it (I think-LOL)

And just for the record Jackie's last name is spelled Becke

Well, I think I've learned a thing or two from watching Jesse Jackson. I'm going to form a non-profit organization that you just might want to make a hefty donation to or, there's going to be at least 20 whores and sluts carrying protest signs on your front lawn by this time tomorrow! :D
