This girl really makes our sport look good:rolleyes:. When did NHRA hire a bunch of whores to be the trophy girls? Damn good thing Ashley didn't win because this slut would have been hanging all over her. That might not have looked very good. I'm not a prude, I like girls, but this broad has no business being dressed like that representing NHRA Drag Racing. Not very classy.

Dave

WoW Dave that's a little much for the Mater.

Didn't you guys know that all pretty girls are sluts & whores! Geeeeeze! The Kardashian girls call them "Slores".

Good for Del & the Team! After a win like that, let him look at all the pretty girls he wants, but really his wife Connie and his 2 little girls are the prettiest of all !:D

To answer the question in the thread title, Del's happy for breaking a two season winless streak.
As far as Del putting his arm around the Power Ade girls shoulder? That's between him and Connie.

I don't remember that same young LADY hanging on Karen or A.S. last season, or Melanie, come to think of it. I really don't believe wearing a crop top or hip huggers makes you a whore or a slut. If it does, guess 90% plus of the females I know are.

I think, just by the tone of your post Dave, You Owe my Daughter, her friends, My Wife, and her friends, heck, just about every female I know a PUBLIC Apology.

We come into this world Naked, and we will stand for Judgment Naked of our worldly goods. Funny how humans are the only creatures that even have a concept of clothing. There is no Sin in being Skyclad, the sin is in the heart of the viewer.

If I ever get lucky enough to get to the winner's circle and there are no pretty girls there for the photo op ... color me p!ssed. Like they used to say, the money is nice but race for the trophies and the girls.

Of course, I am an equal oppurtunity kind of dude ... so should Hillary Will or Ashley Force or Alexis DeJoria or Melanie Troxel Johnson Jr win next week in Vegas ... I volunteer to be the "guy" in the winner's circle for the girls. :D

I'd say he's about as happy to get away from these guys as he is being with her on the winner's stand. I'm certain I've seen these guys as a biker gang in a movie before.

I think it's an oblivious thing, Doc. From what I see..Del could care less about his surroundings..I WON MAN!!!

It appears the Mater cares more about his surroundings than he does.

How do you not LOVE that picture? Celebrating a victory?

Geez Doc..it's a win Del has been waiting for....for a long time. He isn't going to nickel and dime this sh!t about who is on the winner's podium with him..(oh..and sharing in his happiness)..or in the crowd.

I say lighten up a little on this one. There's no morality lesson to be learned here.

And I mean no disrespect at all in that comment..I love you guys.

It's a celebration..and again..it's the angle of the camera...what was going on from the other side of Del on that shot? Probably families..lil kids and all that.

Chris, If you wear that same outfit as that girl we are not posting the pic!

Once again what was posted as a joke has failed miserably.

I think I better just bow out of this stuff when a morality lesson is somehow taken from a post like my last-or was it another opportunistic arrow I've just somehow taken for the team.

whatever happened to the good old days, when race car drivers were real men who got full on lip kisses in victory lane, covered in grime and sweat, and no one complained about it, called the girls whores or sluts, even jokingly, and life went on.

those were the days I guess....

I would like to say I'm sorry to anybody I pissed off or offended by what I said earlier. What I wrote did't come across right. The point I was trying to make was that I just didn't think the girl's outfit was very tasteful for the professionalism of NHRA Drag Racing. I was comparing it to something like our former Miss Winston Jackie Beck used to wear. A sexy yet tasteful uniform. For those that don't remember, Jackie looked absolutely beatiful in that leather outfit in Winston colors; what a doll. I was not trying to personally attack the young lady pictured with Del, in fact, I think she is quite hot. In my opinion, I just don't think a girl dressed that way is the right way to represent our sport. In most other surroundings, I'd say go for it. She has a great figure so show it off. I do remember the days of the greasy drivers with the hot chick in the Winner's Circle and I think it was great. Hell, I've got an old picture of Ed McCulloch in the Winner's Circle with his arms wrapped around Linda Lovelace. I think it's a totally cool photo and by the look on Ace's face, he seems more happy to see her than being happy about his victory. I really enjoy seeing the old pictures of Jungle Pam. She was as big a part of Jungle's show as he was and at the time it was great for Drag Racing. That was OK for our sport at the time because it was mostly about the show. Today, Drag Racing could be argued to be too corporate and professional for a modern day Jungle Pam type of character. I was not trying to attack women, beatiful or not. I think there are many women in Drag Racing that are quite beautiful. Melanie, Angelle, Ashley, and others look great. I think Hillary is absolutely beatiful and a wonderful person. I'm proud to call her a friend. These ladies all have something in common. They look great but they show their beauty in a tasteful way. That's all I was trying to say.

This subject just happened to pop up when I was having a totally sh*t day. I have been dealing with some tough issues over the past few weeks and I have been able to keep my emotions in check. However, today I dealt with one of my customers that at times can be somewhat unreasonable. This person just really pissed me off today and I blew my top. I needed a break so I came to the Mater to see what was happening. I saw this thread and it just set me off. I just didn't make my point correctly. At the time I didn't see the point of this thread just being a joke, but I do now. Again, I am sorry if I upset somebody, I wasn't trying to.

BTW, I too think it is great that the Worsham Team was able to pull off a win. After all of their struggles, I think they were due some success.

Am I missing something here? We see a cropped image of a millisecond in life of an NHRA promotional girl laughing and celebrating with Del but it's enough for you to be calling her a 'whore' and 'slut' ... are you serious?
What he said, what is she supposed to be wearing? A burquah?
