who get's The Oakley ride? (1 Viewer)

A Marketer's Dream and........

....he can DRIVE! J R Todd!
Young, good looking, a desireable demographic and he can DRIVE!!!!!
Never mind benefitting Jim Jannard he could bring eyeballs to every sponsor in DSR's stable and THEN some:eek:

Well Well, let me take a stab at this... Mr.Schumacher wants a character... Suzie-O is the only character on here who makes me laugh outloud the most Besides PJ... BUT, can she or he do a Scelzi style cartwheel?? :D Frey and Reinhart, #2 and #3...
Choice #4, ME!! My sense of humor is as dry as a dog biscut, but with a little work on that, I may be up to par with say?? No I better not say... And having the talent to say Oakley Mopar Dodge three times in a row, along with Gates belts and hose. Valspar, Goodyear, and being able to tell Gerry about my new pet cecil, all in 15 seconds mind you... As well as, absolutely no kids, wife, G/F, that I know of anyway... And with my schedule pretty much being wide open as far as travel, apperances, etc., working nights and weekends are a must for me, practicing backflips fully suited up with my helmet and Hutchens device still attached, having a stash like Gary is easy enough, I bought the Scelzi starter kit only 3 months ago, and it is begining to fill in nicely BTW...Only $19.95 on ebay if anyone is interested, along with being able to go on at length about anything having to do with Bubba the love sponge, or just plain rambling on about things that no one understands, but laughs anyway because I can laugh at myself, and yes I will wear a dress and heels if that is a requirement... I'm going to go do some video taping and see if I have what it takes to be a goofball... I mean character... :p I'll let everyone know whether or not to even bother The Don... ;) Results in a few days... Back to whatever you are supposed to be doing...

Yeah, like I have a shot in BEEP!! to even make it past the filter at DSR... What the heck, odds gotta be better than the lottery... No?? ALAN!!

as a matter of fact I just won a contest by doing a cartwheel into a freezing lake (michigan in the winter) for charity.

I can dream that they'd take a shot on a no name guy like me can't I, heck I even resemble Scelzi a little..or so I've been told.

This can't be right because if you're old, then I'm old... and I'm not ready to be old yet.

Tom, I was thinking I am old due to the fact of no hair on the top of my head.....wait...I have a reverse Scotty Cannon mohawk! yea that's the ticket...I'm young again!

Oh, well if hair (or lack thereof) is the measuring stick, then I'm still a teenager!
You're on your own, buddy!

My next door neighbor’s brothers wife baby sits for the guy that works at the dry cleaners where the kid that works at the Jiffy Lube near Mr.Schumacher’s house gets his uniforms cleaned and she said………what was the question again?

It would be a heckuva risk -- but a sponsor should come along and see all of these folks on here who want to drive, do some sort of a bloody knuckles contest, and the winner gets to drive a FC for a race.

Or, we could see how many licks someone would be willing to take (say, like in the movie Casino Royale?) -- any takers?

Okay, I digress. Back to you guys' subject. I just had to type random non-sense and it just happened to be on here today.

I can't believe I just posted this,
Jeremy

Some of you here crack me up. Quick to bash Beckman as if he is some stooge who bought out Bazemore for his ride. Get a grip,, fact is, Matco was taking their money elsewhere, and they took Bazemore with them. How is Matco money and Bazemore different then MTS money and Beckmen?

Had it not been for MTS stepping up, that car was going to be parked. Beckman has a relationship with MTS,, Baze has a relationship with Matco, Scelzi has a relationship with Oakley Jim. You all better get used to the way the business is played in this game.

The replacement driver will be determined by a number of factors. As long as it says Oakley on the side, you can bet that Jim will have plenty to say about who represents his company. Don't forget, you better know how to drive too.
And that means Beckman can drive,,, if he couldn't, it doesn't matter what money MTS posts, it won't work if the driver can't handle it; money alone doesn't a driver make.

So, you better be able to drive competitively, and you best have a good relationship with a sponsor you bring to the table, or have a good relationship or recomendation with the existing sponsor. And since there isn't going to be much time developing a driver, whoever comes in will have to possess a fair amount of experience, and that with the sponsor requirements is going to shorten the list considerably.

I like the idea of JR driving for Force, however, it was just a couple short months ago we were bashing for Jimmy leaving Tuttle for a better opportunity. If he loses JR, that wouldn't be good either... I know the situation is drastically different, but still.

Do ya got the "O" Tattoo yet?? ;) Well...if Shoe happens to read this...I hope he would look at ya...and I would like to be on the team :) Hell...I can "O" with the best of 'em...well except J-Rod...he's the TRUE "O"-Pimp....

T :D

Dale...Beckman got his license under the eye of Bazemore...But don't compare the traveled road of success between Baze and Jack as similiar stories...
Beckman is a super guy...but w/out those friends w/ money he'd be like the rest of the dreamers...I am happy for him...dreams do come true..
Oakley was involved w/ F/C's long before Scelzi entered the pic @ DSR..
Most everyone knows that it's more about money than driving ability..
Having driven a blown alcohol funny car I can say it is an overrated situation that is hyped by a bunch of noise...
Like I said earlier...bring half/one million dollars and a fuel license and you'll be on ESPN next weekend...

O.K. here is the deal...
If you have won any type of gymnastic comp... DQ :)
I always thought JP Spingolo was a household name... ;)
Then the Scelzi lookalike thing... My condolences to the Mrs... :D
