WHMP Testing

Thanks Jeff. There are more pictures on the way, I just didn't have time to edit them last night. Along with JFR the field as of yesterday included Cruz P, Tim W, Terry H, (Jenna is here and all suited up too; but, hasn't driven yet,) Roland Leong and Tim Boychuk's "Hawaiian", Candies and Hughes FC (I believe Tim B was driving this Friday; but, Mike Halstead will be in the seat today,) and assorted other TAFC/TAD. I was told there are others coming today, so I'm expecting an even better field today. If anyone's heading out to Wild Horse Pass today I'll see you there shortly, it's time to get the gear packed up and get ready to get out the door!
 
thansk chris.....what's that white support vehicle in a couple of the pics?.....don't think that's a bowtie on the front grill
 
Has anyone seen a picture of the time slip from Brittany's run? Really curious to see if it all adds up. From what I have seen on social media, I am not the only one who's curious.
 
Courtney's 326 is stout. Looks like the conditions at Phoenix were pretty good. Like others have said, I think the days of the West Palm Beach test might be numbered.
 
Britt's last pass before I scooted out late in the day was a 3.76...Good mph too (I think 323).

Cruzer had a strong last run today too... 4.01 if I recall correctly- I wasn't keeping notes- was enjoying the day with Emmett (rare times as of late, due to our schedules)
 
Nobody has ever been that quick to the 60 at the current weight, most likely ever. 290 at the 1/8 is off of what some other slower runs have been. There have been runs 293 mph plus with slower ETs than this. Add to the fact it only went 321. Randy Goodwin is right, hot clocks or something held the beam open and it carried the numbers all the way. It was a 3.72 at best.

Yes, don't ever count JFR out of any race, only time will tell if the loss of Prock will hurt them later in the season.

I mentioned hot clocks jokingly. In the good ol' days it was known that some of the local promoters would embellish the times to get the crowd fired up. That was back in the days of spinning emergency lights for win lights at the finish line and no score boards.

 
An .807 60 footer is not out of the realm of possibility, I believe Steve Torrence has a couple .815's under his belt. I think if the 60 foot was false, you probably have a 330 foot that was really slow.

Looking at all the progressives and splits, it looks like a legit run to me.

There are a number of factors that can effect top speed, but those factors have a much less effect on the E.T. as compared to the car's acceleration early in the run.
