Isn't it time for PS bikes to use chutes like the TF bikes are now? They are going almost 200mph, wouldn't it make sense?

Consider the unintended consequences with an NHRA mandated auto chute going off accidentally on a PSB under power at 1000 feet. However , if left solely to driver control, the idea has merit.

PS - The entire drag racing community would have given their collective left nuts if Scott only had to deal with a corn field!
 
Joe, I think it was Steve Johnson put his bike in the sand at Z max.
Then there was the girl that caught her leg on fire...

I think bike chutes are a good Idea, but like Jim said, DRIVER controled. NO Auto chute device.

Absolutely driver controlled only. And they really don't need to pull them on every run, at every track, but since they've been proven out on TF bikes, I think it's a good insurance policy for the PS riders going almost a deuce now.
