actually i tried to get him to do some welding years ago and was willing to pay but he didn't have time. and yes i do hold a grudge!

I was there when the video was shot and was the one who put it all together. What you are seeing is a man who puts a flame to his head to back up his quality product!
That's really neat actually. No different than Bill Simpson lighting himself on fire and people sticking hotdogs in the flame.
Looks like that's form fitting. It'd be nice to get a pair of gloves that fit tight across the hand without burning the skin like that.
My welding gloves are sort of bulky and things fall on the inside and I wind up burned anyway.
Hey Jerrod, do you know if the staircase in the gallery Torch Wear; Welding Gloves, Safety Glasses, Welding Apparel is the Loretta Chapel in Santa Fe?

Jenn, the Loretto staircase is all wood including the handrail.
Last I had heard was that they were changing it. Loretto is no longer owned by the archdiocise of SF, and instead privately owned.

From what I understand, they may have to. It's basic design has some physical mechanics flaws that make it unsafe and it moves like a springboard. It will be sad to see it go if they do, I don't think there is anything quite like it anywhere.
Sorry about the derail guys. I would have to agree with Jenn about better fitting welding gloves...

I remember when Torch used to cruise the pits in that Low Rider truck. God I wish I got a pic of that, must not have been Eye Candy!
Does he still work NHRA events? That was the black and flamed S10 with the Diamond plate bed and all his gear, right? I've read a lot of great articles on him.
