Another Good Guy Gone.

Vinny Tarantolla, better known as Vinny "Vitar" passed away yesterday April 6th, 2007. It has been a tough week for the New York-New Jersey crowd this week already, with the passing of Adam Landolfi earlier in the week.

Vinny was a very modest man, and innovator. He was very well know for his transmissions, converters, and as far as I know, may have been the first to use a transbrake.

R.I.P. Vinny and Adam

I also saw that George Maskin passed. Is this going to be a bad year? It seem that so many people connected in the racing world are passing into that TOP Eliminator Club above us.

I remember his C/GS NR 4dr Willys. His tranny's won more than one Nationals, and that's when there were only 2 a year! Jack Merkel used his stuff in his NR National winning B/GS Willy's.
