Thank goodness they brought the bar back. Y'all sure were whining about it alot!![]()
Looking at those night shots, especially of the strip hotels, I keep looking for myself. Not really, but I was staying at the Venetian and walked across the street to the Mirage and down to see the Bellagio fountains. Where did you end up staying? So, what setting did you use for the night shots? My wife and I just bought a Sony Cybershot, which by no means matches your nice Nikon that you bought, but I think some of the settings can be close. I'm still in the learning stages of our camera. A friend of mine has the same camera and he has a nice zoom lens, I'm not sure what it's zoom potential is but the lens is about 12" long. He's gotten some amazing pictures from some of the NASCAR races we've been to.
Great shots as always Joe. LOVE that Daytona ProMod.![]()
Joe, thanks for the info. You're not kidding, it ain't cheap to stay on the strip. Fortunately I have a wife who is lucky gambling (rarely does she come back with less than she went with) and gets us comped rooms whenever we come to Vegas. In April for the 12th-15th event, we're hoping to be getting some offers to stay at the Wynn as she played most of the day there Monday after the event and before we went home that night. If not there, I think we're safe for getting something from Venetian. Where do you usually stay?Mark, I use Auto WB with ISO 1600. I would NEVER invest in staying on the Strip! Just about all of those nicer places are $250 to $400 per night on Fri-Sat. depending on the place. That's a LOT of Beer money!![]()
