I see Mike Smith is on the entry list for Reading. I know he is on the 'Mater, but does Paul Weiss own the team?

Thanks Guys.

I'm real happy for Paul. Its nice to see him finally achieve his goal of owning a fuel Funny Car.

Thanks Pete,

Mike Smith tunes and drivers the Ultimate Warrior Dodge Stratus, he has done a lot with very little and I am happy with the results.

It has taken me a lot longer than I dreamed, to get my car to the races becaused it's the second one I built. The first was a beautiful Firebird with a McKinney chassis and was for IHRA competition, I finish that car in November 2008 and soon learned the IHRA was dropping the nitro funny car class in 2009 and NHRA came out with a new 10.5 SFI spec in 2009, so my car was obsoleted before I could run it. I sold what I could and started over again. I got a Hadman chassis from Kenny Bernstein, it was the "Monster Energy Drink" car that Tommy Johnson Jr drove and got it ready for the 2010 season. However, in 2010, the rules changed in the nitro funny car class faster than the cars it seemed, so I was always behind the curve but got caught up over the winter on the rule changes.

Our first time out was at the 2011 NHRA Supernationals at Englishtown, NJ. We were still finishing the car in the pits Friday morning of the event and made our first full run Saturday and ran a 4.25 at 289. That run would have qualified us at most of the National Events this year, but we had to settle for being in 18 th spot for that race.
Our next event was Maple Grove's national event in Reading, PA this past weekend and without doing any testing between races, we came up a little short again, missing the field by 52 thousands of a second.

Mike and the crew did a great job this year and we are looking forward to our first race of 2012 at Gainesville, Florida in March
