Track food prices.

I've been to tons of natl events @ many different tracks, but i've never seen food prices as high as Wild Horse Pass. Anyone know a track worse than these ?

Do they have private venders along with track vendors. Does the track set the Prices for everybody? That does seem very expensive, even for a "pro sporting event"

That's ridiculous! I would probably order the polish sausage, it's free, right? ::ducks:: I always pack sandwiches for day one for any race I attend. Day 2 includes a big breakfast in hopes of not having to eat high price crappy food until it's a necessity. I did spend $13 on a sausage sandwich and a water at Indy last year.

Thats why we always eat a big breakfast on the way to the track and hit someplace like Texas Roadhouse on the way home!

In the pit side, there is a food truck next to the ice cream truck. Their prices are less than the others & they are a regular at Wild Horse. Food seems a little better.

Those prices are crazy, no coolers allowed so they try and make you cough up the cash for their food. Like a lot of you, we has a good breakfast at Village Inn before the race, bag of peanuts during the race and wings at Native New Yorker after the race!

Las Vegas is tightening up too. Last year my wife couldn't even bring two bottles of water in her purse! One thing I miss about racing, my trailer was always well stocked!

It sucks but I also paid $13 for a chicken teriyaki bowl at Pomona 2 weeks ago.

LVMS is awesome but the bottle and bag nazis at the front gate are something else; they caught me before too. Small price to pay for all the other amenities.

You'd think they would've figured out by now that if the food prices were reasonable, there would be no need for the food Nazi's to start with. I also realize that there's a need to keep bringing your own stuff in check or it will get out of control, but those prices are nothing short of gouging, period. If those prices are actually necessary to make a respectable profit, there are too many hands in the till.
