Road courses bring in a surprising amount of revenue from track days/ track rentals/ smaller events. Lots of rich guys that buy very expensive cars and want to drive them fast. Several private/semi-private road courses have sprung up that are professional level but aren't really designed to have spectator events at all. Even Road America has pretty much said they don't really NEED the Indycar race- which does relatively big spectator numbers- because they do plenty well with the track rentals and club races going on all the other times.

There is a reason Englishtown closed the drag strip but still operates the road course and motocross tracks.

Piedmont sold before auction.

I know this might not be popular to say at the moment, but I really enjoyed the IHRA events and competition. It was fun watching the fuel altereds and outlaw pro mods. I really enjoyed the lesser known top fuel and funny car competition. The events were great to watch and there were great track personnel that I hope find some good jobs elsewhere.

Anyone who has or had an issue with the IHRA and the racing just had a hardon for the IHRA. I can understand being upset with how things ended and why, but anyone who didn’t go to an event really missed out on some great racing, and the event coverage was great!

You can appreciate the racing snf still fundamentally disagree with the organization direction(or lack their of). I love mountain motor and pro mod. Just hated seeing a viable section self implode because of that fool

I have a feeling Bob Harris (Jason's dad) may be involved. Maybe we will hear tonight on the Boost and ******** podcast.

Definitely going to miss the competition. Although the sessions were long.
