Todd Smith to JFR confirmed?

I was reading on here last week about possible rumor of Todd Smith going to JFR to be the crew chief of B. Force. Apparently it is now true? Anybody else heard anything on this?

I was thinking the same thing, but hopefully someone will be able to get a better grip on the Castrol Edge machine. They were gradually starting to improve towards the end of the season it seemed. With this being the last upcoming year of Castrol, I'm guessing they are spending the rest of the budget they had put away on Smith?

DSR dropped him, JFR must have had the spare cash leftover from 2013. (Or used his championship bonus) I know how John Force is. If he is able to hire his competition, he will in a heartbeat. I'm not knocking him. He knows his stuff. I'm a hardcore JFR fan. I can't blame him one bit.

Really? Did you ever think he had this deal already lined up with JFR before Don asked him for a commitment for 2014? You don't decline to commit to a deal with DSR (and a team you tuned to a title) if you didn't already have something else lined up.

I don't think he was insinuating that DSR didn't have top notch equipment. I think he is just excited that he is going to another team with top notch equipment.

I don't think Force is going to hire a crew chief that needs "helping out". Pretty sure Force hired him to "help out" his brain trust with Brittany's pipe rack.
