TJ slaps wall

I saw it live on all access. At first I thought the wall slap knocked the wheel off then they showed the replay and the wheel came off first which caused it to steer right into the wall. Glad TJ is OK. Thankfully the wheel stayed on the track and didn't fly anywhere.

Wow!
This underlines what TJ asserted recently in the header angle discussion: You gotta be really good to drive these cars and he's really good.
Agreed.

He is one hell of a great driver! Damn glad that wheel didn't go sailing into the pits like Antron's a few years back.

You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel!

When I saw the title of the thread "TJ slaps wall" my first thought was, well, the wall probably had it coming :D

Tabloid humor aside, as I was watching it on FS1 I thought what a fantastic driving job to get through that and safely stop the car with minimal damage. Could have been much worse for a lesser driver.

As Mr. Orme's lawyer, his First Amendment and Freedom of the Press rights to post bad puns, shall NOT be denied. "See you in Court"! :p

It's amazing how fast TJ jr caught it. The car has barely pitched and the butterflies are already shut and he's on it hard left with the steering wheel. A lesser driver would have destroyed the car.
