IMHO. I think not having Bandimere, hurts a lot. It is within 200 miles of being the halfway point (from Indy shops) on way to Pacific Raceway. I realize that not all teams are out of Indy (some further East) but having race at halfway point to recoup a little/some of traveling & racing, would have to help in their decision; compared to traveling just all the way Kent, Wa before heading to Sonoma and then return to shop, or if possible, straight to Brainerd for a little R & R & fishing/boating with team. Not having Torrence (or sometimes both Steve & Billy) along with Salinas, has hurt this season, even if some independent teams had already to sit some out. I don’t blame either the Torrence’s or Salina’s, for doing so, if work (family type businesses) that required to be on hand to do work/business, instead of “playing” on weekends; Especially if they aren’t making a whole lot of money from NHRA payouts. Just my 2 cents?

Suprised mike isnt at the races watching his daughter race psm??

a track owner verbally disappointed about low racer turnout. solution: more money for the racers. easy right? (sarcasm)

when there's 4k per each nitro class availabe for low e.t. in lone friday night session, what do you think the teams are going to do?
putting up money for that session was maybe not the smartest move. cars launch, tire shake or smoke, and shut it off. no harm.
car hooks, then go for it.
what the track owner should ask himself about his friday night session, is what were differences or similarities between his conditions under
portable musco lighting, with a cooling track with fresh track prep, and the friday session in early february at bradenton during the pro shootout?,
which IMO had to be very similar, right down to the musco lighting...... a session that yielded a 4.79 in FC. that track hooked.
The owner or NHRA can’t make cars come to race there. The one incentive they can give is cash but it’s got to be enough to make it worth it. There are only a handful of top fuel cars within 1500 miles one way. Brandon Welch, Rob Passey, Del Worsham, Ron August and Greg Carrillo are the five I can think of. Maybe an additional 20k each could entice them but it might take even more.

The Densham's used to be regulars at Seattle and Sonoma, but they have sat out this year. Gary has got to be a few years older than Force, which would put him in the 77-78 years old range. Of course, son Steven (driver) is probably late 30's early 40's, but Dad Gary and team still has to come along to tune the car.

Is Brandon still racing?

Worsham is gonna be at Milan. Shorter pull , less cars to have to beat , winners payout the same. Easy call for him.

There were some pretty stout performances too, which, with Shawn Reed's crash dominating, no one has really commented on.
You are correct. Some spectacular runs in TF and PS for sure. There were 3 340+ runs in TF, right?
