It would be cool if someone could post up the progression of the downfall of a realistic looking body...Of course you would have to start with the altered wheelbase cars!!

Unbelievable...............the Batmobile! This thing deserves to be restored and put into a museum.

I for one would pay for a swing or two with a sledge hammer to that body which led the way to the downfall of funny car bodies having any realistic resemblance to the cars name plate.

Longnose Camaros and Mustangs 67-70, Mini Chargers 69-70, Vega floppers, honestly, don't think I've ever seen a funny car that has 'looked' like a production car from the same era. Today's floppers look as much like the blobs on the street as they ever have. The biggest difference is the Spill plates and grab on the back, and the narrow green house.

Only in the every beginning, these look like exact replicas from production cars.......

As far back as the early 70's Buttera built his version of a "Batmobile"!

Yeah, I caught that while reading the listing. Most of my ebay buyers would just buy it, then raise nine kinds of hell because the chassis didnt come with it.

Asking $250K for this piece of crap is a lot of what is wrong with the collector car market. Good luck on this one--now go back to watching 3 year old Barrett-Jackson reruns on Speed Channel.
