Bob Tasca and family owns Tasca Automotive Group, 39 Ford dealerships in the northeast. Wouldn't think money is a problem. They should be testing, it's a brand new team.
I think they sell other brands as well

TASCA Auto Group owns a total of 39 dealerships selling Audi, Kia, Ford, Lincoln, Volkswagen, Volvo, Dodge, Jeep, Subaru, Buick, Chevrolet, Collision, Mazda, Chrysler, Cadillac, FIAT, GMC, Hyundai, Toyota and RAM models. The dealerships are in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida and Missouri. They may not be testing because some parts are in limited supply due to manufacturers cutting back on inventory due to the economy, the war and other economic considerations. Just the same I hope the KARMA continues for a few more months.

The problem never was that the Procks aren't the 'real deal'; it was Austin's attitude at the first of the year when the team was adjusting. People remember him throwing tantrums - and things- when he would lose. People watched him assault the pit Tahoe. Listened to him blame the NHRA for poor track prep and told fans who dared to criticize him to lump it ("They don't know anything anyway"). And at that time there was still quite a bit of resentment, deserved or not, regarding the Procks hauling ass over to Tasca with little or no notice to JFR.
What all of that accomplished is turning more than a few people from patiently waiting for Prock to adjust to the new team, different parts and such to rooting for them to go out in the first round. A bit of a crapping in their own cook kit scenario. But if you'll notice, Austin has calmed down, no longer goes ape if he loses and the performance level is slowly but steadily moving towards back where it was in the JFR days. And that's a good thing. The sport needs Tasca and it needs the Procks.

You have very good points, not supporting his antics, he did make out to be spoiled and ungrateful as well as disrespectful to his sponsors, I’m just tired of everyone wanting them to fail, I don’t know why they left JFR, until and when if Jhon and the Procks wanted to be public about it, it’s there business and when people make assumptions and condemn them to fail not knowing the facts are the ones that I am done with, fyi, I’m a huge Jhon force fan, until John says he has a problem with them leaving when they did I will let it be
Indeed. Jumping ship was never an issue for me for three reasons - 1, I know nothing of the details; 2, I wasn't involved and 3 it's none of my business. JFR still has a quality operation; they'll be fine.

This whole tale of the ungrateful, petulant, sore loser, Austin and his team wrecking family is a whole lotta nothing. Austin always showed love and respect for John. The 3 Prock's went their own way as was their right. No contract was broken. I'm not quite sure why the people who are upset and angry with the move are still talking about it, except that there isn't a whole lot of other ''controversial'' behavior going on these days. Let's move on to the present and realize the Prock's are on the move again. But this time it is up the qualifying ladder. Austin qualified third at Rte 66 and today might be the day that he wins his first race with the Tasca car. So we better get ready for a new round of negativity from the folks who found this whole affair such a betrayal

The real test will be how they do at MIR in twelve days. I say that because both E1 and E2 they had it easy when Arend and Todd kick the hoops loose. Everyone was having issues. Time will tell if they are back.

Anyone with a brain can see they are making progress and that this week was a VERY BIG step forward.

Look at Dickie V. he is a Championship Crew Chief. He struggled last year after switching teams, but his car (J.R. Todd for those of you who don't pay attention) this year he is showing that he is still a Bad A$$. Just look at the points.
Don't recall much hate for him leaving TSR and fighting through new parts/chassis/equipment going to Kalitta.
You can hate Prock all you want. But if you want to win "Pick the Winners" you better start looking at him as a contender again. Starting Now!
