Kind of an old article, but worth the read.
It's interesting that in the article Wally Parks was quoted as saying the fuel ban was one of only two regrets he had with regard to drag racing.
I wonder if the second regret was effectively legislating the almighty Hemi cars out of Pro Stock competition after the '71 season. I remember reading somewhere that he apologized years later to someone at Chrysler for that.
