I hope some really great photographer took pics of every one of those cars and gets someone to publish a large "coffee table book". A collection likley never to be assembled again.
The main reason I made the trip to Pomona (other than the fact I was sick of cold and snow) was the vintage race cars. And let me say, it was well worth the trip--even about 5 pm yesterday as I was feeling the effects of the red eye flight home. Getting to watch Roland Leong himself start the car that he and the Snake won Indy with in 1965 was priceless. What a gathering!!!! Probably never be repeated. Hopefully NHRA did a video so all the folks that could not attend can enjoy it.
That Hawaiian is an excellent re-pop of the original car, commissioned by Ron Hodgson who co-owns the nostalgia nitro Firebird that Roland Leong tunes for Tim Boychuk.
