well, we all are entitled to our opinion and thats the great thing about America and forums like this but we should try not to insult each other at the same time.
I don't think its being negative voicing your thoughts on certain subjects.
NHRA needs to know what the fans think and so far, it seems more are opposed and concerned with the current state.
I saw how professional hockey took a year off and how they lost the ESPN 2 deal, with ESPN saying their product lost value. Hate to see that with NHRA.
We need fans for our sport to prosper.
There are probably peeps that wouldn't mind if NHRA made all fuel cars run the entire race with their chutes out, but I would. :)

I must say I like the 1000' nitro move. It's much better than restricting the engines.
To those that say do away with the tracks that can't expand, think again. We have lost a lot of tracks around the country lately, and not many new ones. Most of the tracks are old and don't have the pit room to host a Natl. event. The days of ramp trucks or sta. wagons pulling open trailers are gone. Today yer talkin 70+ 18 wheelers just for the PRO's.

To those that fear 1/8mi. is just around the corner, don't worry folks, it took over 50 years to go from 1/4 to 1,000'. We'll all be gone before that happens.

As for the blow-ups, they were blowing early before, so no difference.

YES it is safer and YES it saves cost.
