I don't know if there are enough crazy people to do this.LOL
There probably is but there aren't that many willing to bear the expense of campaigning a top fuel bike for a pittance in purse money. Doesn't mean I would support it - I love 'em.

Who here wouldn't drive a long way to watch a combined Funny Car Chaos/Top Fuel Bike/Fuel Altered event with payouts large enough to draw 16-car fields in each class? I'd drive a loooooooong way to watch that. Are you listening, Billy Meyer? :)

I have Always wanted and supported Top Fuel Motorcycle. It's huge in Europe. And would be here. The Top Fuel Harleys are great too. But constant full pulls in that class were kinda hit and miss. And I think that's what sunk them? I don't see the NHRA quite as forward thinking as in the past. All we can do is pray that they expand the class in the near future.

So half a million to campaign for a year?
I wouldn't know but if it's anywhere near that there's no way a TFM team could operate without a fulltime primary sponsor which could prove to be difficult to obtain even if NHRA were to pay them what they pay Pro Stock motorcycles. They simply have to play with House money.

On a related subject one of the most impressive TFM passes I've ever seen was Korry Hogan - a name you don't hear much anymore - who not only was the first to 250 (not Larry McBride) but who laid down a 5.97/237, 16 years ago, at mile-high Bandimere.

Just saw on FB the NDRC leaderboard for the Top Fuel Motorcycle 2024/2025 Championship and there are 15 riders. So on a global scale, they're out there.
