I think this is a slick lookin' Supra, even if the back portions does kinda look like a Camero. Will have that turbo 2JZ 6 banger. I know cars w/ that engine have gone in the 5's at close to 250, so will be interesting to see what this car does. Sure would be nice if this was a PS car w/ Toyota V-8......

It is a Camaro just with a Toyota grill and headlights airbrushed on, every inch of it is a Pro Mod Camaro body

The new Toyota Supra Funny Car showed how it should be done. This Pro Mod is literally just a Camaro with badge and head light stickers. They didn't even bother to make the grill accurate, it actually looks more like a Camry.
Edit: OK...this is bothering me. They're Camry stickers. Did they mean Camry instead of Supra? Image of 2022 Camry headlights for reference.

Definitely a Camry...and they didn't even bother to cover the "gills" on the 1/4 panels. Weak effort....

Last year NHRA pro mod racer Jeffery Barker ran a Camry. It was a Camaro that had a Camry wrap on it. He had a Toyota dealership that wanted to sponsor him. That is why he did it. If your going to do a foreign pro mod body, you need to do it right. About 7 years ago Williard Kinzer had a Nissan pro mod that was pretty slick.
5.65/262.74Outside of the body, it'll be interesting to see the numbers put up with that 2JZ motor. That block is legendary in the boosted world. Let's get this combo legalized in NHRA Pro Mod and let the parity adjustments begin,

Come on guys, it's not like the F/C, PS bodies are that accurate. Hell Force ran a Ford wrapped as a Camaro. In PS they added windshield decals so you knew what model the car was supposed to be.

The new Toyota Supra Funny Car is actually really good. It follows a lot of the lines of the road car.
I believe the article got it wrong by writing Supra instead of Camry. Regardless, this isn’t anymore big money than any other Camaro Pro Mod. It’s just a sticker job.
Ya know, looking at the video Carl posted, that car kinda does look like a Camero..... Whatever, 5.65 & 262 with a 6 banger..... !!!!!!! I have always loved seeing 6 bangers at the drags. The Chrysler Slant 6 was one of my favorites. Interesting that straight 6 engines are kinda making a comeback. "Chrysler" will be introducing a high HP straight 6 that might replace the Hemi in their cars, according to what I've read. The Supra has that BMW straight 6. Etc etc. Remember Clifford Performance? Motto was "6 = 8".
Whew, that was a goooood looking run. Thanks for posting. I would love to see that combo at an NHRA event mixing it up with the rest of the Pro Mod class.
