DragRaceCentral shows SG and SC qualifying for the D3 race at St. Louis

Why couldn't this also be done for national events. Practically speaking, the only race where Stock and Super Stock have a full 128 car field is at Indy. If SG and SC have 150 entries there, why couldn't this also be done using the same qualifying criteria as D3?
